This powdered black tea comes from Yunnan (云南) province in southwestern China, considered the birthplace of the tea plant and home to bold and expressive black teas known as Dian Hong (滇红). These teas are valued for their natural sweetness, smoothness, and rich aromatic profile.

The base consists of carefully processed tea leaves that undergo full oxidation, developing their characteristic color, aroma, and flavor. The tea is then finely ground into powder, allowing the entire leaf to be consumed and offering a new way to experience this traditional tea.

The flavor profile is full and rounded, with notes of cocoa, dried fruit, and gentle sweetness, often reminiscent of honey or caramel. Unlike some stronger black teas, it is not astringent, but rather smooth and harmonious. In powdered form, its character becomes even deeper and more expressive.

The powdered form allows for quick and simple preparation. The tea can be mixed with water, whisked in a bowl, or used as an ingredient in beverages and dishes. Thanks to its richness and expressive character, it is suitable not only for direct consumption, but also for modern gastronomy – for example in desserts, chocolate pairings, or milk-based drinks. Due to its good solubility, easy dosing, and consistent flavor, it is also suitable for broader applications, including industrial use in the production of beverages, dairy products, and other foods.

Tea profile:
• origin: Yunnan (云南), China
• type: Dian Hong (滇红) – Chinese black tea
• processing: fully oxidized tea, finely ground
• form: powder
• flavor: rich, smooth, sweet, with notes of cocoa, honey, and dried fruit

Brewing:
Use approximately 1–2 g of tea per 150–200 ml of water at 85–95 °C and mix or whisk until smooth. Can also be prepared with milk or cold.

Note:
This tea is based on traditional Dian Hong, but in powdered form it offers a new, modern way of preparation and use.
