This rare puerh is made from trees over 350 years old with a decent amount ratio of leaves from trees older than 400 years. The tea leaves were harvested in the Spring of 2022 from high altitude tea gardens in the Ming Feng Shan 鳴鳳山 of Yunnan, China. You can find the mountains of Ming Feng Shan 鳴鳳山 in Lincang, Southwest Yunnan. It is a less-known place among the many tea Mountains in Yunnan. Here the old big tea trees grows at the altitude 2100m, which is very high even in the Yunnan Highland. True Gu Shu 古树 (ancient tree) material is rarely made into ripe Pu-erh. It takes a decent amount of determination to risk valuable leaves on the uncertain Shu Cha process. Very experienced tea masters have crafted this tea into a medicine and delicacy at once. It is a feast for the senses. The rich aroma and thick mouthfeel presents a smooth, layered, multi-dimensional experience with sweet flavors of chocolate and molasses with a hint of nutmeg spice.
