Our buckwheat grows in the Daliangshan Mountains in the south of Sichuan Province, which rise up to 4000 meters. Buckwheat grows very well even at high altitudes, which allow it to be grown completely without any chemicals. The seeds are harvested once a year in the summer by members of a minority group known as the Yi Zu 彝族 and are intended to be steeped as an herbal tea. Thanks to technology and only natural processing methods, the resulting product achieves high quality and the tea is then suitable for hot and cold steeping while maintaining a rich and balanced taste and health qualities.
