ZHI GAN CAO TANG More
Explanation of Composition According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Principles
TCM Purpose:
Zhigancao is traditionally considered in TCM to support Qi and the circulation of channels. It is the main herb in this formula, working together with Ren Shen and Da Zao, which traditionally support the Spleen and Heart. Sheng Di and Mai Men Dong are used to nourish Yin and blood. Gui Zhi and Sheng Jiang are seen as warming herbs that support Yang and the flow of internal pathways. The combination is considered warming without being overly drying and supports Yin while remaining light in nature. It aims to harmonize Qi, blood, and Yin.
