San Xia Ming Qian Bi Luo Chun 三峽明前碧螺春 is an early harvest (before the Qing Ming Festival) spring green tea from Sanxia County, New Taipei City, northern Taiwan. Carefully hand-picked leaves of the Qing Xin Gan Zi variety are processed in the traditional style to create an aromatic herbal liqueur. The taste is light and clean without being astringent or dry. It has a classic pre-spring green tea profile with fresh herbal flavors, floral and vegetal umami notes, and a sweet mouthfeel. The aftertaste is very clean with a long-lasting refreshing taste. This is an excellent green tea that will definitely appeal to fans of premium pre-spring teas from mainland China and Japan. More

Bi Luo Chun is a classic Chinese green tea with an original type originating from the Dongting tea growing area in Jiangsu Province. The popularity of this tea is such that the name has become a model for other green teas made in a similar style. They typically feature a pointed leaf with a coiled shape resembling a snail. However, the name often describes the flavor profile rather than the appearance of the leaf. As in the case of our pre-Qing Ming Bi Luo Chun tea, it is made from a single leaf with several white buds, but they are not coiled into a distinctive snail shape. Instead, the name is attributed to the flavor, which has the classic herbal flavor of green tea and the aromatic infusion typical of all Bi Luo Chun teas.
