It is made from hand-picked leaves of the Qing Xin 青心 (Green Heart) cultivar plants that grow at an altitude of around 2000 meters. It is a complex tea that delivers a classic high-altitude oolong flavor full of floral notes of the alpine meadow. The tea has been oxidized to approximately 15-20%. More

Lishan 梨山 is an exceptional terroir located high in the mountains of Nantou Province and Taichung City. It is famous for producing some exceptional traditional high-altitude oolong gao shan teas. Lishan has several sub-terroirs and Cuiluan 翠巒, translated as Emerald Mountain, is one of them. The vast majority of oolong teas grown at high altitudes in Taiwan are made from the Qing Xin 青心 (Green Heart) cultivar. This is also true for most Lishan teas.

Our Lishan Cui Luan Oolong is found in tightly rolled emerald-colored lumps. The harvesting style is the top bud and 1-3 leaves. It produces a pure yellow-green infusion with an attractive, heady floral aroma. The taste is extremely smooth, without any harshness, just as you would expect from this type of tea. The predominant floral flavor is reminiscent of an alpine flower meadow. The aftertaste lingers in the mouth for tens of minutes.
