Hong Bi Luo is the spiral black (red) tea produced in Yuanling of West Hunan . It is made of one bud and two leaves plucked in an organic tea garden in Liang Shui Jie at the altitude of approx. 1000 m. The garden is surrounded by a deep forest pretty much isolated from any possible source of pollution. The tea cultivar planted in the tea garden is seed growing Fuding Xiao Ye. The tea was plucked just before the Qing Ming festival. The infusion has a reddish-brown to copper color due to specific processing. The name Red Snail itself says that it is red tea rolled into spirals (Hong Bi Luo 紅碧螺). The taste of Red Snail is delicate, intoxicatingly sweet with malty caramel tones. More
