Lychee Black Tea is a harmonious combination of high-quality black tea and the naturally sweet, exotic aroma of tropical lychee fruit. This tea is traditionally made by gently scenting tea leaves with lychee peels, creating a characteristic fragrance—rich, fruity, yet elegantly soft. The base is typically a black tea from Guangdong province in China, where both lychee and tea have a long-standing tradition.

Lychee has been محبوب in China for over a thousand years, dating back to the Tang dynasty. The exact origin of lychee tea is not clearly documented, but it is often said to have been discovered by accident during transport, when tea leaves mixed with lychee fruits and absorbed their aroma. Whether true or not, this story captures the essence of the tea—an organic meeting of tea and fruit.

Once brewed, the tea reveals a reddish-brown liquor with a rounded, lightly honeyed taste, where sweet fruit notes naturally blend with the depth of black tea. The aroma is expressive yet refined—reminiscent of ripe lychee, delicate florals, and a hint of honey. The result is a tea that feels both refreshing and warming at the same time.

This tea is highly versatile. It shines as a comforting hot drink, but also works beautifully as a refreshing iced tea during warmer days. Thanks to its natural sweetness, it is also ideal for tea lattes or as a base for modern drinks such as bubble tea. In gastronomy, it can be used as a subtle aromatic element in desserts or summer beverages.

Preparation: Use approximately 3 g of tea (2 teaspoons) per 150 ml of water at 100 °C (212 °F). Steep for 3–5 minutes depending on desired strength. Longer steeping enhances body and sweetness.
