Maneki Neko 招き猫 is a type of Japanese figurine, often made of ceramic, that is supposed to bring luck and wealth to its owner. Neko means cat in Japanese, maneki means invitation. The symbol of a lucky cat with a red collar appears in all sorts of forms, including tea cans.
