This rare black tea is made using leaves from wild ancient tea trees that are over 350 years old. Large-leaf Assamica Da Ye Zhong cultivar leaves are traditionally used for making Puerh. A bud and two leaves are harvested in the early Spring. Dry leaves are brown in colour with golden tips. It has a very distinctive and mesmerising floral and fruity aroma with wild forest flavours and a strong Qi. Only a small portion of harvested tea leaves are used for black tea and the most of it stays with local people. Thanks to rich content of the tea leaves this black tea became everyday tea for many tea lovers in Yunann and it is sometimes considered more a medicine than a beverage.
