Traditional Chinese Herbal Formula

Traditional Use:

This herbal formula is based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). According to TCM theory, it is traditionally used when external factors such as wind and cold disturb the balance of the upper part of the body.

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine:

  • Supports the body's energy balance in cases of external wind and cold exposure.

  • Traditionally used during periods of discomfort affecting the head, neck, and upper body, especially when triggered by weather changes or drafts.

  • May be chosen in cases of tension in the sinus or eye areas, or early signs of seasonal discomforts.

Traditional Functions of Ingredients (as per TCM):

  • Bo He (Mint): Supports the free flow of Qi, traditionally used to relieve tension in the head and eyes.

    • Chuan Xiong, Bai Zhi, Qiang Huo: Commonly used in TCM for addressing various types of head discomfort.

    • Xi Xin: Traditionally used to disperse internal cold.

    • Jing Jie, Fang Feng: Help harmonize the body’s surface layer and support natural body defenses.

    • Gan Cao (Licorice): Harmonizes the effects of the other herbs.

    Warnings:

    • Not suitable for children under 3 years of age.

    • Children aged 3–12: 4 pills, 3 times daily.

    • Adults: Common dosage is 8 pills, 3 times daily. Dosage may be adjusted based on individual needs and professional TCM guidance.

    • Not recommended for individuals with signs of internal heat or Yin deficiency (as defined by TCM).

    • Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

    Recommendations:

    • During times of discomfort, TCM recommends reducing intake of sweets and dairy products.
