Golden Monkey is one of the oldest Chinese Black Teas. It originated in Tongren of Guizhou. A plucking standard is a one bud and one bud plus one newly opening leaf of small leaf tea cultivars. A harvest period is early Spring. The Golden Monkey is renowned for its strong honey flavor due to the tenderness of the material, the taste is mild fruity mellow. Dark amber cup gives you cacao-like notes mixed in with ripe figs and dark honey. It is hard not to be happy with its smooth texture and a lovely sweet and nutty lingering aftertaste.
