On Thursday, September 19, 2024, we co-organized an interesting social event in the teahouse Čajový ateliér in České Budějovice under the name Archive Tea Evening. Regular visitors, club members and people from the street had the opportunity to taste an abundance of aged Puer, Heicha, white teas and Oolongs from China, Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam and other locations. The archival tea salon has been operational in the tea house for many years, and during that time a unique collection of teas was created, which even any collector in China would not be ashamed of. Especially in the category of Pu-erh teas, you can find teas from old trees from more than 30 locations in Yunnan.

At the carved tea table, Radek prepared tea using the traditional Gong Fu Cha method, while Martin at the bar presented his new concept of preparing tea in wine glasses, which is more than suitable for this type of event. Both fresh and archive teas from the 1980s to the present were available. The whole evening was accompanied by a tea knowledge competition with interesting pressed prizes for winners.

Satisfied guests left around ten o'clock in the evening in a drunken state, not from alcohol, but from tea. According to later reports, many of them did not fall asleep until early morning, which those more experienced expected considering the large amount of tea consumed. :-)
