The girls of south and south-east Asia have worn jasmine blossoms in their hair since time immemorial. Not only does this beautifully decorate their thick black hair, but in some places it also indicates that these girls have not yet found their true love. Jasmine tea is the most popular perfumed Chinese tea. In the case of the “young virgin”, this is a very high quality green tea which undergoes a four-phase process of perfuming, by which the tea leaves fully absorb the scent of jasmine blossoms. The tea is freshly sweet with a distinctive and long-lasting, soothing taste and the aroma of jasmine, the infusion has a rich, greenish-yellow colour.

Brewing guide
Prepare tested water for the tea infusion with which you have experience, or use ordinary tap water which has been left standing for a sufficient period, preferably overnight, ideally rid of chlorine. Rinse the teapot and cups with hot water. Use approx. 2g of tea leaves (1-2 teaspoons) for each 150ml of infusion or to taste. Brew the necessary quantity of tea in hot water at a temperature of 75-85°C for a period of 1 minute for the first and second infusions. With further infusions progressively extend the brewing time.
