Buds of Chinese Red Roses
| This herbal drink is prepared from the actual buds of red roses, which are gathered young and subsequently dried. The drying process is relatively slow, without the access of a greater quantity of air, in order to ensure that the rosebuds maintain as many of their qualities as possible. The buds are very aromatic and have a natural sweet and sour aroma of roses, which the beverage also maintains. The essential oils present in the drink made from the buds of young roses support blood circulation, have a beneficial effect on the heart and since time immemorial have belonged to the array of herbs used by Chinese doctors practising classical Chinese medicine. The rosebuds are frequently mixed with other teas, in our catalogue you can find Black tea with rose petals (Mei Gui Hong Cha). |

| Prepare tested water for the tea infusion with which you have experience, or use ordinary tap water which has been left standing for a sufficient period, preferably overnight, ideally rid of chlorine. Use 3-4 buds for 500l of water. Pour on boiled water at a temperature of 90-95°C and brew for approx. 1-2 minutes for the first and second infusions. Gradually extend the infusion time for any further infusions. |
