Organic tea Do you want to know more?
The organic method of cultivating and processing tea is a relatively new branch no longer than approximately 15 years. The more our planet is polluted by mankind, paradoxically the more people demand evidence that the foodstuffs they buy are produced in a healthy manner. Organic cultivation of tea is very demanding and thus also requires stringent controls, whilst there are a range of farms and factories which cannot afford organic certification but produce teas by a purer method than on organic farms. An organic certificate inevitably makes the production process more expensive and thus increases the price of the tea. All fertilisers, pesticides and herbicides in the organic production process must be entirely chemical free and on a 100% natural base. The aim of organic farming is to attain pure and healthy products without jeopardising the long-term fertility and resistance of the land.
